Big bulb plant at Florence Court on Thursday

It's that time of year again!

It's that time of year again!

The National Trust at Florence Court is preparing for their annual Big Bulb Planting event on Thursday, February 16 and they need your help.

Local people and visitors are welcome to help create the wonderful blankets of our native hardy little snowdrops and crocuses, and with 8,000 bulbs to plant, Florence Court will be glad of any helping hands.

Property Manager Jim Chestnutt commented: “There can be little doubt that peoples’ enjoyment of a day out at Florence Court is enhanced by the simple sight of a spring bloom, a reminder that spring is not too far away. By taking part in our Big Bulb Planting Day, they not only give a couple of hours in helping a native species, but in a few short weeks will be able to see the fruits of their labour.”

So if you would like to help out, get a little exercise and enjoy the surroundings of Florence Court, please come along on Thursday from 10.30am until 2.00pm.
