Rainy Boy Sleep who will perform at "FestiFal" in Falccaragh this weekend.

With a great line of weekend entertainment, “Festifal” Falcarragh kicks off tonight.

With a bit of community spirit making the most of limited resources this years Falcarragh Festival aims to be one of the biggest and best events in recent years and their motto “Bringing the Craic back” is what it’s all about.

This years “FestiFál An Falcarrach 2012” has a wide range of events set to take place from July 19 to 22 but this years music line-up has a variety of local, national and international talent.

Among them include the sounds of Tanya McCole, Rainy Boy Sleep and In their Thousands.

Talent from further a field includes, high temp reggae group, the Barley Mob, blues man Mark Braidner, and Glasgow’s Alan Murphy. Other acts include Mark Black, Vintage, Coldshot and the Mark Trainor Experience.

The committee have also many day time events for all ages arranged to take place over the weekend.

Committee members Stephen Doohan said it will be one of the biggest festivals in years.

“It’s a great line of live music. There will be music in every bar with loads of free gigs. We have had a lot of support from the local community and sponsors which has been great. We have our event programme out now and many hours went into preparing it. The whole thing is about trying to give people a lift and put a smile on their face.”
