Following their recent promotional appearance on The Craig Doyle Show, the Donegal Calendar Girls will be signing the 2013 Calendar in Nancy’s Bar in Ardara tomorrow night (Friday) in what promises to be a great night’s entertainment.
The girls were invited to sign and sell the Calendar by Anne and Jenny Mc Hugh, landladies of the recently voted “Best Pub in Ireland” in what is also known as ‘The Best Village to Live in Ireland’.
The landladies from Nancy’s are themselves involved in and supporting many other ongoing fundraising charitable projects and the ongoing promotion of the town of Ardara.
Hosting the event will be Donegal’s Drag Queen, cabaret artiste, ‘Miss Scarlett Rose’ performing songs from the various eras of the icons depicted in the calendar in her own inimitable style.
Paula McMullin, one of the Calendar Girls said, “Other attractions for the evening include the opportunity to win the beautiful Calendar Girl Cake made by Oonagh Fields.
“Tickets will be on sale and, a selection of Magpie’s Nest Jewellery will also be on display with commissions for this original bespoke range taken during the evening.
“This should really prove to add up to a great night’s entertainment, admission is free everyone is welcome. Come meet the girls, buy a signed copy of the Calendar for yourself or as a fun Christmas gift which could prove to be just as warm an alternative to traditional socks.
“Finger food and naughty nibbles to be served.
“The publicity for the calendar is going from strength to strength and is available in many retail outlets throughout Donegal, with all proceeds going to The Oncology Unit at Letterkenny General Hospital and Living Links Suicide Bereavement Aftercare.”
