Are you a ‘Material Girl’?

Have you cracked the Rubik’s Cube yet?

Would you prefer a Walkmann to iTunes?...If so, read on!!

The Abbey Vocational School present their musical, AV Rocks the 80s, this Tuesday to Friday (November 20-23).

This hugely entertaining show, presented at 7.30pm in the AVS, will make you want to dance in the aisles.

The musical contains many of the best known hits of the 80s. It tells the story of a graduating class of a High School as seen through the eyes of a past student. He remembers his classmates, the cool and not so cool. He looks back on his love for the girl next door who was in his class. As always, she preferred the athletic, good-looking guy in the class! He thinks about his teachers, especially his maths teacher who, in hindsight, had a lot more on his mind than maths and his students!

There will be a prize for the best dressed 80s member of the audience on the final night. Get out your leg-warmers and Miami Vice suits (optional dress code!)

Tickets are on sale from the school office on 074 972 1105 (€10 adult and €7 student) or come early to buy tickets at the door.

So “Get Outta your Dreams and into your Car”, “Put on your Sunday Shoes” and
head along to this smashing musical, AV Rocks the 80s. You will “Have the Time of your Life!”
