There was a large turnout for the final day of the Dressage League at Deanes Equestrian Centre and horses and riders were all in good spirits.
Several new faces were taking part in their first competition as riders had travelled with Kay’s Equestrian from Ederney, Fermanagh. They all rode great tests for their first dressage competition.
In Class 1a this week less than one percent separated Dean Burgess on Little Charlie and Siomha Johnstone on Tara as he took 1st place. They were closely followed by Rhannon on Bailey and Martha on Accola from Kay’s Equestrian who rode lovely tests.
Once again Darragh O’Donnell and his pony Harry, were in superb form, as they won class 1b and Class 2 with scores over 66.00%. Rebecca Morrow on Lincoln rode a super test to place second in Class 1b with 60.00% and Birthday Girl Dominika Czibla on Meenarillagh was third. Callum Hoey and Alanna riding Twinkle were close behind Dominika.
Boe Lynch on Twinkle and Claire on Bailey picked up a very respectable joint third in Class 2.
Class 3 and 4 were won by Kelly Ann McGrath on Lady but it was very close in Class 3 as her friend Eleanor Boyle on Shanbo was only 1% behind to take second with Hollie Bradley on Tango in third place.
Shauneen Gallagher and Shavonne both riding Aine from Ederney performed well on the young horse with Shauneen placing fifth.
