Tánaiste Mary Coughlan is to travel to Germany next week to celebrate St. Patrick's day, attending engagements in Munich, Berlin and Dusseldorf.
In Dusseldorf, the Minister will attend promotional events organised by Enterprise Ireland and the IDA.

The news comes after Mayor of Donegal Brendan Byrne last month confirmed he had opted to pay for his own St.Patrick's day engagements to the US. For over 20 years the Council has been sending representatives to the US in response to invitations from the Philadelphia Donegal Association and Donegal Association of New York.
