McBrearty called on the County Manager to bring in more men to work on the roads. “All those job losses at Donegal County Council are now coming back to back to bite us on the backside.

“We the councillors are taking the flack because the Government is not giving us the funding.

Area Manager, Roads and Transportation, Peadar Thomas revealed that the previous year they had lost three men through retirement and they had not been replaced.

“There are some bad roads out there that we will not get near,” he admitted.
