The first Annual Oíche Fhéil Bhríde Celebration in the new Church of the Holy Family parish centre took place on Tuesday night with a big crowd attending what was a very enjoyable evening.

Local children brought in the crosses to be greeted by the age old proclamation, “Gabhaigí ar bhur nglúine, fosclaigí bhur súile, agus ligigí isteach Bríd.’S’beatha, s’beatha”.

Entertainment was provided by Tony Finnerty on the night with Conal Shovlin also giving an account of the story of Naomh Brid as well as giving a few recitations.

The new Centre has proved to be a great addition to the Parish with great use being made of its facilities for all sorts of gatherings. Well done to all involved.
