Glencolmcille sewerage scheme
Donegal County Council officials are awaiting approval from the Dept. of the Environment to appoint a contractor for Glencolmcille sewerage scheme.
Cllr. Brendan Byrne asked about progress on the scheme at the recent meeting of the Donegal Electoral Area Committee in the Public Services Centre, Drumlonagher.
He was told that the project is expected to be sanctioned to progress to appointment of contractor next February.
“It’s vital that this project progress as soon as possible,” he told the Donegal Democrat after the meeting. “There is currently no sewerage scheme in Glencolmcille and that is problematic, especially from a planning point of view.”
