A group of youngsters from south-west Donegal are working hard to raise their fares to Oldenburg, Germany, to take part in a Christian gathering called TeenStreet. For some of the group, this will be their first trip outside Ireland and for all of them it promises to be a huge adventure.

The teenagers will be divided into groups of five younger people, accompanied by an older coach/team leader and assistant coach.

The coaches/team leaders are: Rev John and Vanessa Purdy, Donna Lambe, Suzanne Baskin, and Andrew Dunleavy, who will be assisted by Karen Deane and Hannah Dunleavy.

Anyone wanting a teen to do some work such as window-cleaning, car washing, internet assistance, cleaning presses, weeding, grass cutting, etc should ring Beth Herron on 074 954 1346. She’ll pair teens with the work to be done.

Also any unwanted articles of old clothing or household linen, shoes, belts, handbags may be disposed of by calling Beth at the number already or Marie Hutchinson, Dunkineely on 973 7925 or 086 866 2682, in the group’s ‘Cash for Clobber’ campaign.
