Calling all past pupils of Coolmore National School, Rossnowlagh!

If you attended Coolmore NS, you may well be interested to know that a possible school reunion is on the cards.

One former student at the school, Clare Hughes, thinks it’s a pity that there has never, at any stage since the school closed in the 1960s, been such a gathering. So, given that’s it’s the year of The Gathering, Clare’s decided to go ahead and try to organise one.

“I think it would be wonderful for everyone to get together and share their memories of the school. Anyone I’ve spoken to has such fond memories of their time there.

“If there is enough interest, we thought we’d approach the Sandhouse Hotel and all meet up for a meal or something. We’d love to hear from anyone who’s interested.”

If you’d like to know more, contact Clare, on 071 985 2545 or randwich9@eircom.net, or Frank McAree on 086 839 4600.
